Our story began in 2010 when our co-founder was working for a nonprofit that offered direct victim services. Each victim of human trafficking he met was exploited on the internet and the crime always left a digital trail that wasn’t easily available for law enforcement.
Conventional internet searches offer limited information for only current data, not historical data, and often only a limited number of records can be obtained by a subpoena. Worse, intelligence which could be readily available for law enforcement is not accessible without a subpoena that takes days or weeks for a response. Even information obtained by a subpoena does not allow a law enforcement officer to search and target only relevant data. As a result, time is wasted, data is lost, intelligence is stale, and investigations are inefficient.
After conferring with state and local policing agencies, prosecutors, and human trafficking task forces, we set out to build a human trafficking intelligence platform that solved these problems. Our solution, Rescue Forensics, is the premier intelligence platform for law enforcement investigations involving human trafficking. Our technology puts the power to perform timely investigations in the hands of law enforcement directly, resulting in actionable intelligence and immediate access to evidence which can be used during all stages of criminal proceedings.
